I wanted a practice that offered variety and had a big enough group of physicians to allow support and time off. In my family practice training my last rotation was in rural family practice in Morden Manitoba. The physicians were a close knit group and invited us to join their practice. We looked at other towns in Ontario but decided we wanted to be close to family in Winnipeg. Morden had an excellent hospital with emergency services, excellent radiology services, ultrasound, rehab services and obstetric services. This allowed us to have an interesting practice. Morden also has been a great place to raise a family with good schools and activities for kids.
