Originally from Regina, I obtained my undergraduate degree in pharmacy at the University of Saskatchewan in Saskatoon. A fellow classmate, who later became my wife, was from Winkler and still had most of her family there. After one visit, it was decided that this community would be a wonderful place to practice and raise a family. I practiced as a community pharmacist in Morden since 2010 and then obtained a clinical Master’s degree at the University of Manitoba which included additional training in family medicine. This training allowed me to pursue a clinical pharmacist position within the C.W. Wiebe and Agassiz Medical Centres. Additionally, I serve on council with the College of Pharmacists of Manitoba and hold a faculty position at the University of Manitoba.
As a clinical pharmacist, I am able contribute to patient care by improving medication management through individual patient assessments and population-based interventions, answering drug information questions, and providing education to the team.
